Update: 3-30-09New firmware! The new firmware includes smoother operation and now the ability to adjust the servo range with the on-board POT.
The Dionysus Design VTail Mixer allows aircraft with a V shaped tail to be controlled with a standard transmitter. The microcontroller inside the V tail mixer mixes the elevator and rudder channels together for the left and right outputs for the V tail.
The VTail Mixer also includes a fail-safe mechanism that centers the servos if the input signal is lost.
The difference between the Dionysus Design V Tail mixer and the other mixers that are currently available is the firmware. This mixer has been tested on RCAP boards, gyros, and other electronics that shift the servo signals. The Dionysus Design mixer has the ability to read both input signals whenever they occur. They could occur simultaneously or in any order. This solves repetative glitching that can occur when using other V tail mixers.
Note: Dionysus Design has found an issue with these devices and 3 volt outputs on receivers. We are currently working on the solution to this problem, but recommend the addition of two glitch reducers to your order if you know your Rx outputs are at 3 volts. This does not affect the standard 5 volt Rxs. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us regarding your particular setup.
